Rav Yehuda Leib Ashlag z"l  authored the famous "Sulam" commentary on the Zohar. The Sulam was the first translation of the Zohar into Hebrew which explained the simple understanding of the words, word by word, for every word in the entire Zohar. Indeed no other commentary has equaled the Sulam in terms of explaining the simple meaning of the text or "pshot".

Now the students and Hasidim of Rav Ashlag have published some of the most important classic works in Kabbala and Hassidut starting with the: 15 volume Kitvei HaAri Z'l, the Tikkunei Zohar, the Etz Haim and Talmud Eser Sefirot, excerpts from the Zohar on Tehillim and Shir HaShirim with the commentary of  the Sulam, Birkat Shalom his Maamarim (lectures) and letters and more.
